Eskaei
Eskaei (Stefanos Kourtis) started messing with sounds in 1997 using a toy keyboard, a cassette tape recorder & sounds from video games. Since then he has used various means & methods to create music in the range between hip-hop & techno for various group and solo projects. He got involved in the netlabel scene in 2005 & after releasing music on various netlabels (like Sweet Smelling Surfaces & Stratagem), he started memoryformat in 2006. He has worked as a composer, sound editor & mixing engineer for a television channel & he has composed music & sound effects for theatrical plays.

Quip
Quip AKA Ben Eyes started experimenting with guitars when he made his own feedback machine, with lights on, in a cupboard.
He now makes feedback machines in computers. Influenced by classical composers such as Max Richter, Steve Reich and the earlier minimalism of Eric Satie, he tends to ignore this and plays rave anthems if the crowd is half decent.
Ben has released tracks on the Hippocamp netlabel and I Can Count Music. This is his 12th appearance at an Stfu festival. -
V.C. vs PJVM
Helsinki based artist V.C., one player from the bursting scene of northern countries, cooks his recorded output from various styles combining hip-hop, dancehall, electro and modern rnb to subfunk, thus donating his very own minimalistic 2 cents to the whole new Skweee thing.
PJVM is Petteri Turtiainen, from Helsinki. He begun producing electronic music in 1997. His first release came out in 2001 on Kostamus Records. Since then his tracks have featured on labels such as Heavy Disco (uk), Flogsta Danshall (swe), Harmönia (fin) and Octagram (fin).
Exogenic Breaks (fin) released his debut album "Svanström" in 2006.
His style has mutated during the years from electro, bigbeat and ghettobass into a mix of hiphop/breakbeat and scandinavian funk, Skweee. -
Pridon
Pridon (Petros Voudouris) released his 2005 debut album Health Food Scroll on Fluxion's Vibrant Music & subsequent New Steine EP on Low Impedance. Having relocated from Brighton (UK), where he graduated with a BA in Digital Music, he now resides in Greece, where he works on music & sound design for TV & radio.
Past works include CD releases, sound design & music for TV/radio, remixes, live/DJ sets & multichannel installations. Pridon's live sets are powerful, energetic & unpredictable, drawing from the material of his releases and featuring a healthy dose of improvisation. His 2nd album will be out soon on Low Impedance. -
The Square Root of Evil
The Square Root of Evil is film editor, music promoter & internet radio programmer Jen Pearson, from Vancouver, BC. She's been featured on over half a dozen compilations on US, UK & Canadian labels including Toast and Jam's "We Bore 2". She currently has one EP, called "Chirping Data" out on Belladonna.
Her work has been described as everything from IDM, Breakcore, Techno, 8-bit, Drum 'n Bass, Glitch & Jungle, as the sub-sub-sub genres continue to split further & further... She's done some touring, and has been threatening to release another EP, so be on the lookout for performances and new material by this Canadian laptop artist. -

Unknown Forces of Everyday Life & Moriarty
Unknown Forces Of Everyday Life is the alias of Mark Murphy, a Scottish electronic music composer, who has been making music ranging from ambient to industrial techno since 1999. He has released tracks on compilations by the Hippocamp, Acousmatic & Musictrade net labels, with full length albums due on Musictrade, Avionix & Enough Records in 2008.
For this gig Mark will be accompanied by fellow Glaswegian techno artist Moriarty AKA Rob Park. They have performed only twice together, both to high praise at the previous Stfu festivals in Leeds (UK) and Weimar (Germany) in 2006. -
Deer
As Deer, Martin Hirsch produces freestyle, Detroit-influenced House and Techno which draws on found sounds, organic synths and engaging emotional tensions.
Deer focusses on groove and finely detailed fragments, trying to create an acoustic space that equally suits headphones and the dance floor.
Deer has released on the Ekwal and Hippocamp net labels, as well as remixing for Hydrogen Dukebox.

AZA
Aza was born in Athens, Greece in 1979. His audiovisual projects have been presented in a number of festivals in Greece and Europe.
Recently some of his works appeared at Nuit Blanche, Toronto/Canada and at the Detroit Museum of New Arts, USA. With his sparse use of glitches and frequency flashes, he attempts to tweak ordinary sounds and sights to match his ordinary everyday experiences.
